The Ma Books

2015-06-18

Photo by Pam Omohundro I’m over at The Ma Books today, talking about mother daughter style. It was a really fun article to write, to discuss with friends and try to capture that elusive quality that is true style. The vintage dress I’m wearing is from my friend’s shop El Heart and Ember’s dress is handmade and hand dyed using all natural materials by my friend Mattie of Juniperous.

DIY – Raw + Fermented Condiments

2015-02-20

For my latest contribution to Sugar & Charm I spent a lovely morning with two very inspired women, Kaelin Kiesel-Germann and Jody Engstrom of Living Nutrition. We took advantage of an oddly warm February day, letting the kids and dogs run wild outside as we laughed, chopped and blended some raw, fermented condiments. I’ve been slowly discovering the joys of fermentation through these two beautiful women. Visit Sugar & Charm for the whole story and how to!

DIY – Hand Woven Willow Wreath

2015-01-27

I’m so excited to be working again with Eden from Sugar and Charm. Her style and blog are on a whole new level and it inspires me to be better. I’ll be contributing once a month, so stay tuned for lots of fun collaborations to come. This month, I made a wreath using willows from around our house. Making wreaths always connects me to the memory of my mother, feeling my hands work the same way hers did,

Below are some my favorite Bozeman moments…treating myself to fresh yummy baked goods at Wild Crumb, getting lost in blues, jazz, books and a sea of the best postcards ever at Vargo’s and soaking in the Boiling river where wild buffalo grace the shore.

Almost Spring – Playlist for West Elm

2014-03-11

I was so surprised and elated when West Elm asked me to create a playlist for their blog Front and Main. Although spring feels like it’s far away here in Montana(we got a foot of fresh snow last night), I’m still looking towards the light at the end of this white tunnel. Don’t get me wrong, I do love winter but the end will be welcome. Enjoy some tunes to accompany the transition from the depths of winter to

DIY – Buffalo Print

2014-02-12

For my latest contribution to Poppytalk, I’m offering a tutorial for this buffalo print. I’m lucky enough to live in beautiful Montana just an hour away from Yellowstone National Park. One of the many gems in the park are the wild buffalo. Especially in the winter, they are a magnificent sight. One of our favorite wintertime activities is to head down to the boiling river for a soak and to watch the buffalo.

Kabinet Interview

2014-01-22

I was recently invited to join and do an interview for Kabinet, a social site where you discover skin, hair, and body care products through friends and experts. I don’t consider myself a big beauty product buff but I had fun putting together my Kabinet and thinking about why I use the products I do. Being an outdoor woman, I’m drawn to anything easy and natural. Also, working for Vickerey.com, I was exposed to lots of handcrafted, all natural bath
